Max Verstappen will not be in action today at the Barcelona circuit, GPblog has learned. So far during this week's pre-season, the Dutchman has completed half a day of running in the new RB22, equipped with the brand new Red Bull Ford power unit.
Verstappen still has an entire day to run himself, but that will not happen this Thursday. After Isack Hadjar's incident on Tuesday, GPblog has learned that additional parts also need to be flown in from Milton Keynes.
After today, there is one day left to go during the Barcelona pre-season test for
Red Bull Racing.
Hamilton is in for Ferrari
The first images emerging from the circuit suggest that
Lewis Hamilton begins the day for the Italian squad.
This is
Ferrari's second day in action this week after Tuesday.
Reportedly,
Racing Bulls, Mercedes and Cadillac are also out on track already.
Liam Lawson and Kimi Antonelli are the drivers in action for two of these three teams. A day ago,
it was George Russell's turn in the morning, but now the Italian gets to drive in cooler conditions.
After completing their first laps on Wednesday, McLaren will also be in action today. Oscar Piastri gets his first taste of the MCL40 after Lando Norris ran the car yesterday.
