On top of that he is also an avid follower of MXGP and AMA Supercross/Motocross.
MotoGP returns to the iconic Mugello circuit in Tuscany, Italy and the championship battle is heating up between Aprilia teammates Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin.
VR46's Fabio Di Giannantonio, who is currently enjoying his most successful spell in the premier class, will be one of the pre-race favourites, particularly given how well Ducati have gone here at their home circuit in recent years. KTM's Pedro Acosta may also be in the mix after showing that he can hang with the frontrunners in Barcelona.
Following the disastrous Catalan Grand Prix two weeks ago, both Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco will continue their recovery off-track. Meanwhile reigning champion Marc Marquez is aiming to return for Mugello but his appearance has yet to be confirmed. It is also unclear whether LCR Honda and Gresini have managed to find replacement riders in time for the event.

The historic circuit, which has existed in one form or another since 1955, marks a home race for several riders on the MotoGP grid including Bezzecchi, Di Giannantonio, Francesco Bagnaia, Luca Marini, Enea Bastianini and Franco Morbidelli.

Last year, the Mugello Circuit gave us one of the best races of the season as Bagnaia and the Marquez brothers battled for the win. This time around it looks to be a different story but still one that is equally interesting and unpredictable ahead of the coming weekend.
