Marquez highlights the three most interesting MotoGP transfers ahead of 2027

Entering the next season and the next regulation change, the MotoGP grid will also look quite different. For example, only two current factory riders, Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi, will remain with their current teams in 2027.

Pedro Acosta will join Marquez at Ducati, while Francesco Bagnaia will team up with Bezzecchi at Aprilia to form an all-Italian line-up. Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura will compete for Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo will make his way to Honda, and Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio will line up for KTM.

"Are we talking about riders? Because I would say tyres," Marquez was quoted by Crash.net when asked about the most interesting transfers.

He then began by pointing out his next teammate at Ducati, Acosta. "But riders, I mean, of course, Pedro will be one of the most interesting talents who is moving to the winning bikes."

Quartararo will join Honda, Marquez's former team. The Spaniard is also interested to see how that partnership will develop. "Then, interesting to see how Fabio is with Honda, and how Honda develops the new bike. If Fabio has the bike, he will be fast. If Pedro has the bike, he will be fast."

As his final pick, he pointed out his current teammate, Bagnaia. "And then also Bagnaia at Aprilia is a very good rider. So let's see, it will be an interesting season," the Ducati rider concluded.

Entering the second half of the season, only five seats remain open on the MotoGP grid for 2027. KTM Tech3, Guenther Steiner's team, still has two vacancies, while VR46, Trackhouse and Pramac Racing each have one seat left to fill.
