'Rossi's brother tipped for seat at Guenther Steiner's team'

After the Trackhouse MotoGP Team announced ahead of the British Grand Prix that Raul Fernandez would remain with the team, only five seats are left to be filled. Moreover, Honda is also yet to decide whether Diogo Moreira or Moto2 talent David Alonso will join Fabio Quartararo next year. Fermin Aldeguer also has a contract to ride a Ducati bike next season, and with all other options off the table, that will happen at VR46.

Steiner's Tech3 team still has two open seats to fill. One of them would reportedly go to Marini, Valentino Rossi's half-brother. Marini currently rides for Honda's factory team and has scored the most points of any rider representing the Japanese manufacturer. With the Italian on board, Tech3 would sign one of the most consistent riders on the grid.

There, he would reportedly be joined by rookie Senna Agius. The Australian is currently third in the Moto2 standings and has previously won the United States and Spanish Grands Prix in the series.

Trackhouse is yet to announce a teammate for Fernandez, with Ai Ogura set to leave the American outfit to join Yamaha's factory team in 2027. Current Tech3 rider Enea Bastianini is reportedly the frontrunner for the seat, although Moto2 championship leader Manuel Gonzalez is also said to be hoping to secure the spot.

At VR46, Nicolo Bulega is frequently tipped to follow Toprak Razgatlioglu's path and switch from WSBK to MotoGP after a dominant campaign. VR46 Academy rider Celestino Vietti has also been mentioned as a possible promotion, although other rumours suggest he could join Aspar in Moto2, with Alonso and Dani Holgado both set to be promoted from the Spanish squad to MotoGP.

Toprak's next teammate also remains to be confirmed at Pramac Racing. There, Izan Guevara's promotion from the team's Moto2 side is reportedly the most logical outcome.
