Marc Marquez returns to training after holiday ahead of British GP

Previously, Marquez shared photos from his trip to Menorca with his partner, Gemma Pinto. He was also joined by his brother, Alex Marquez, and other friends.

There, the championship contender enjoyed surfing and relaxing on the beaches of the Spanish island. The two Marquez brothers also went for a few rides, but instead of bikes, they hopped on bicycles.

Now, Marquez is back in training, as he shared on social media. "Back to the office," the Ducati rider wrote, with the first part of the MotoGP summer break coming to an end next week as the championship resumes at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The Spaniard remains in the championship battle despite trailing Marco Bezzecchi by 102 points in the standings after the Italian Grand Prix.

Since then, Marquez has won two Sprint races and three Grands Prix, and now sits just 18 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin. Ai Ogura, Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio are also close contenders.

He is also still recovering from his previous injury. “In the first part of the season, with the nerve problem, I was crashing without warning,” Marquez explained to the media post-German Grand Prix, “Now my physical condition is ‘blocking’ me in some areas. I try to do the mistakes on Friday.”

Former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner was asked to compare the Ducati rider to a Formula 1 driver. According to the Italo-American, Marquez is a bit like Lewis Hamilton.

The Tech3 boss said to Motosprint: "It's difficult because I've never been asked this question. He seems a bit like Hamilton to me, given that he's very good at going fast when needed but also at managing his image. He doesn't manage it like Lewis because he's unique, but he's good, and obviously he's won a lot."
