Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz have accepted the offer of the Bahrain government to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Both drivers announced this during the press conference in the afternoon break at the Bahrain International Circuit. Lando Norris will decide later on whether or not to take the vaccine.
Perez: "Yes, we got the offer and I decided to take it. In Mexico I don't know when I would get it. It's very nice that Bahrain offered it to us, I took that offer right away," the teammate of Max Verstappen stated to Motorsport.com.
Norris is taking his time to come to a sound decision." It's a decision that is private, that goes for the team and for myself. Now I'm healthy and I'm staying where I am," the McLaren driver stated.

Vaccine or no vaccine?

Liberty Media refused the proposal of the government of Bahrain. The owner of the premier class of motorsports stated in a statement that Formula 1 would wait its turn. However, the teams are free to accept the offer. Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing have done so, although each individual is free to decide whether or not he or she wants a jab.
