Red Bull Racing has been found to have been in breach of the FIA's International Sporting code during the United States Grand Prix. The Stewards have handed out a hefty punishment for the Austrian racing team.
Prior to the start of the the United States Grand Prix, as the teams prepared to send their drivers off into the formation lap, a Red Bull Racing mechanic found themselves within the white lines that dictiate the limits of the track, in clear violation of the Formula One regulations.
Max Verstappen ended up winning the race from Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. The reigning F1 champion is not in danger of losing his victory at the Circuit of the Americas, though, as the Stewards have revealed in their verdict.

The document 59 of the United States Grand Prix informed of the Stewards' decision: "The competitor (Oracle Red Bull Racing) is fined €50,000, €25,000 of which is suspended for the remainder of the 2025 season on condition that there is no breach of a similar nature.
The document then outlined the Stewards' reasoning behind their conclusion: "The team representative stated during the hearing that the team member informed him that he was not aware of the efforts of the marshals to stop him.
"However, the Stewards determine that any person affiliated to a team or other stakeholders should be aware that entering the track or hindering the safety measures to prepare the track for the race after the grid has been cleared is absolutely prohibited.

"Thus, irrespective of whether or not the instructions of the relevant officials have been realized by the person concerned, hindering or delaying the process of closing the gates before the race start must be considered as an unsafe act and therefore a significant penalty to the team is warranted."
"In order to prevent any reoccurrence, a portion of the financial penalty is suspended," the document concluded.

Verstappen wins as Piastri and McLaren falter

Verstappen put his RB21 to work and won the 19th round of the championship under the Texas sun, closing the gap to championship leader Oscar Piastri by 23 points over the weekend, leaving it at 40 points.
Lando Norris also bridged the gap to his Australian teammate to only 14 points making the fight as tense as it's been yet this season, with only five Grands Prix and two Sprint races to go.
