Busy weeks await drivers and teams. Next weekend is the first Grand Prix of a triple header, starting in the United States and ending two weeks later in Brazil. In between, a visit to Mexico awaits. The organisers of the Mexican Grand Prix have revealed the trophy that the winner will take home.
Sergio Perez will give a lot to stand on the top step that Sunday afternoon and put this trophy in the air. In any case, he will first have to deal with his teammate Max Verstappen, who has won this race four times before. Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren will also be pushing hard to try and topple Verstappen. Either way, the winner will receive a true showpiece, handmade by TANE México 1942, which has been responsible for the Mexican GP trophies since 2015.

The Mexican GP trophy is almost entirely made of silver

The trophy is made of .925 quality silver, meaning it is 92.5 per cent real silver. The rest is made of other metals. The inside of the trophy is covered in 23-carat gold. The trophy also features the eagle, which can be found in Mexico's coat of arms. The organisation has not disclosed what value the trophy represents.
