Andrew McLarney

Andrew McLarney is a MotoGP reporter for GPBlog with four years experience as a professional writer across the sports and video game industries. A former international competitor in the K1 Premier League, his interest in combat sports evolved into a deep interest in UFC and eventually motorsport — with MotoGP becoming his primary focus.
He studied Animation & VFX at Falmouth University before building a career as a video game writer and reporter for outlets including GameRant and DualShockers. His writing is informed by a broad range of interests, including the rich history of motorsport, the diverse cultures encountered on the MotoGP calendar, and classical literature. On top of that he is also an avid follower of MXGP and AMA Supercross as well as F1 and GT racing.
