Moto2 Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez extended his advantage in the overall standings with another controlled victory ahead of Ivan Ortola and Dani Holgado.
It was a chaotic start with multiple riders including Aron Canet and Alex Escrig crashing out on the opening lap in separate incidents. Gonzalez and Ortola soon broke away from the rest of the pack while Holgado and Salac battled over the final podium place with the Spaniard eventually winning out over the Czech before going on to hunt Ortola.
Home hero Celestino Vietti fought his way through the field to make it onto the podium as Ortola retired with a mechanical issue. he then made an aggressive last-lap pass on Holgado to take P2.
Senna Agius almost stole P3 from Holgado at the end, but narrowly missed out this time as he continues his solid form in 2026.
It was a race to forget for David Alonso, who didn't have any pace throughout the weekend and finished the race in P18 as he continues to nurse and ongoing injury.
