Max Verstappen expects the Netherlands to beat Sweden tonight. During a Verstappen Sim Racing livestream, the four-time world champion predicted a 2-1 win for his country.
During the livestream, Verstappen was asked what he expects from the Netherlands’ second group match at the World Cup. The Red Bull Racing driver didn’t have to think long and predicted a 2-1 victory for Ronald Koeman’s side.
Verstappen is closely following the World Cup this summer. Earlier, the four-time world champion told, among others, GPblog that he tries to watch as many Dutch matches as possible, as well as games from other countries, despite his busy Formula 1 schedule. After the Spanish Grand Prix, he even rushed back to Monaco to catch the opening match against Japan live.

Verstappen predicts a 2-1 win for the Netherlands against Sweden

The Netherlands started the tournament with a 2–2 draw against Japan and therefore face an important next match straight away. A victory would put the Dutch in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stage. However, a defeat would make it mathematically impossible for the Netherlands to finish top of the group.
