Tost: "If he continues like this I think he has a future in motorsport"

Yuki Tsunoda had the opportunity to test the Alpha Tauri AT01 during the young driver test. The young Japanese driver has been reflecting on his work in the test as has Franz Tost who expects a bright future.

An enjoyable but tiring day

"I had more circuit time today than when I first tried a Formula 1 car in November. I have to admit that I feel a bit tired at the end of the day. But it was a pleasant experience," said Tsunoda in a press release from AlphaTauri.

Tsunoda admitted he is surprised by the increase in power and downforce compared to the 2018 car he tested earlier this year. "I have learned a lot and made progress in my driving."

Tost sees a promising future

Franz Tost was delighted with the work Tsunoda did during the test in Abu Dhabi. "Yuki did a great job while giving us very good technical feedback, and his cooperation with the engineers has been really beneficial. If he continues like this I think he has a future in motorsport."
