Several teams, including Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari, have arrived at the Japanese Grand Prix with a raft of car upgrades. The Suzuka race, which precedes a five-week break for
Formula 1 amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, has prompted multiple front-running teams to introduce performance-focused developments. Red Bull, in particular, is pushing aggressively, bringing as many as four upgrades to the weekend.
Ferrari, meanwhile, has opted for a more measured approach with two updates, as it looks to close the gap to Mercedes. Williams Racing, Aston Martin, Haas, Alpine and
Cadillac have also introduced upgrades for the event.
Red Bull’s upgrades
The Milton Keynes-based outfit has updated its sidepod inlet, engine cover, and floor in a bid to unlock more performance. In addition, a circuit-specific modification has been made to the rear corner of the RB22.
Ferrari’s upgrades
The Maranello-based team has introduced changes to the car’s front corner and floor body, both aimed at improving overall performance.
Aston Martin’s upgrades
The Silverstone outfit has brought three updates to the AMR26, including a revised front wing, front wing endplate, and floor body, all targeted at boosting performance.
Alpine’s upgrades
The Enstone-based team has implemented updates across the front corner, rear wing, and rear wing endplates, focusing on increasing aerodynamic load.
Other updates
Williams has made changes to its front suspension, while Haas has introduced an updated front wing. Cadillac, meanwhile, has revised its diffuser and diffuser fence as part of its performance push for the weekend.
