Racing Bulls identifies key 'strength' in rising F1 talent: 'Always does that!'

At the moment, Hadjar has scored the second-most points in the Red Bull family, as he sits in P13 in the standings having scored 22 points. Moreover, he is yet to be eliminated in Q1, and he is the only driver to avoid that faith in his career so far.

Over the media day, the talent referred to that maybe he needs to celebrate his successes more.

Alan Permane, who was named as team principal of Racing Bulls after Laurent Mekies was promoted to Red Bull Racing ahead of the Belgian GP, sees this to be an advantage.

"I would say he's a driver that when things aren't going well or when he's missing a bit to the other driver or the other car is a bit quicker, the first thing he does is look at himself. I think that's a strength," he began.

"Sometimes if he's not performing, he may be a little bit unhappy, but he's focusing, he's working hard. He doesn't instantly point his fingers at the car or in Mario's direction," the team principal continued, referring to tyre manufacturer Pirelli's Motorsport Director, Mario Isola.

"The first thing he does is ask, “What can I do better?” It won't hurt to be cheerful, and that lifts the team as well, but he's working hard," he concluded.

After the Hungarian GP, Hadjar also talked about how a promotion to Red Bull Racing would be possible for him.
