Wolff sees Antonelli learning another lesson in Hungary
"The car generally is giving more feedback to him. He said the weekend [in Hungary] was transformational from the first session. Qualifying went wrong, but that happens to a young driver. Having him there for a tyre survival was another part of the development that he needs to go through," the CEO and team principal began.
"He's got a point, he defended against Hadjar behind, and I'm satisfied with that," the Austrian shared.
Looking ahead to the season after the summer break, Wolff added: "Hopefully, he's going to get strong in the second half of the year. So, you know, on target."
Antonelli also talked about how it has been working with Wolff in
F1 this year, after he was promoted from Formula 2. Answering
GPblog's question, the rookie said:
"Toto has been really supportive. He expected that there would be some tough moments, especially for me at this stage of the season.""He's always been very supportive, and he was also happy to see that the pace was coming back [in Hungary]. He knows that things are going to click and everything is going to come together, then we are going to be able to show the full potential."
