Oscar Piastri said there is a "degree of responsibility on my side" after the sprint race collision between himself and Lando Norris at the United States Grand Prix.
"We're starting this weekend with a clean slate for both of us, just going out and racing, and see who can come out on top."

The two McLaren's collided at Turn 1 during Saturday's Sprint race, resulting in a double DNF for the pair of them after Piastri was clipped by Nico Hulkenberg from behind, causing the crash.
That incident derailed the rest of their weekend, with Max Verstappen going on to win both the sprint race and Grand Prix, cutting the deficit at the top of the championship to just 40 points.
"Yeah, we've gone through it again," the Australian explained during Thursday's press conference at the Mexico City Grand Prix.

"We go through every weekend regardless of what's happened. I think there is a degree of responsibility from my side in the sprint.
"We're starting this weekend with a clean slate for both of us, just going out and racing, and see who can come out on top," Piastri added.
"The consequences on Lando's side have been removed [from Singapore]," concluded the Australian, confirming that repercussions from the Singapore Grand Prix incident have also been thrown out.

McLaren hoping for no Mexico contact

With Verstappen cutting Piastri lead in the drivers' championship to just 40 points compared to 104 points after the Dutch Grand Prix, McLaren will be hoping to steer clear of teammate contact and 'papaya rules'.
Thanks to their double DNF in the sprint race in Austin and their Lap 1 contact in Singapore, discussions about how the McLaren pair are faring in this tightening title battle have grown.
In terms of the title battle, there is little worry from Piastri with just five races remaining, with the Australian focusing on himself instead.
