Lewis Hamilton did not make many friends today in FP1 at the Madring. Multiple drivers were not pleased with how the Briton did not make way for them during the first session of the day.
Hamilton was involved in multiple incidents during the first practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix. In some cases, he said he was held up by another driver, while in others, he was the car in front.
First, it was Charles Leclerc who said over the team radio that Ferrari needed to keep an eye on the situation, as he assumed that the Briton had no idea he was approaching from behind.
Towards the end of the session, two drivers voiced their concerns. First was Nico Hulkenberg, who encountered the Ferrari through the final corners. The German said over the team radio: "Oh my god. I mean, that's just nasty, he could've easily let me by, and I finish the lap and easily let him by again."
