Lando Norris got back to winning way at the Monaco GP last weekend, claiming his second victory of the 2025 season. After the first day at the Barcelona track, analyst Peter Windsor noticed something in the Briton's style than can give him the upper hand. While the new technical directive arrived for the
Spanish Grand Prix for the flexible front wings,
McLaren do not seem to be affected by this change, and they did not bring a new front wing either to this weekend.
According to Windsor, that can be very demoralising for their rivals, and he expects another battle between Norris and championship leader
Oscar Piastri this weekend.
"At least that's a good motor race between two quick drivers in a very good car, identical cars in terms of their race with one another. And it was pretty evenly split today. Oscar Piastri quicker on the soft tyre," the Australian began on his YouTube channel.
Will this help Norris win this weekend again?
Windsor did notice something standing out than can help the Briton takes back-to-back victories. "In terms of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris through two and three. I think Lando's got the technique that's gonna be a little bit kinder to his tyres over a long distance," he pointed out.

While the analyst continued with explaining that the eventual winner might just remain in first place because he is not affected by dirty air, he still explains Norris has a special quality.
"This is a good example of sometimes when we talk about short corners and why don't some drivers do it and others do. I try to make the point that it's all about the ability of the driver and his technique and his ability to feel the front end and massage what the front end's doing, not only with steering but also with decreasing brake pedal pressure against steering load and getting that absolutely right. Different every lap, different every corner. But Lando definitely has that feel, I think, slightly better touch than an Oscar Piastri in that specific area."
Entering the Spanish GP, Norris trails Piastri by three points in the drivers' standings.
