Max Verstappen receives Red Bull upgrade boost at Italian Grand Prix

Amid widespread concerns over energy management and straight-line speed at Monza, changes for the vast majority of teams come as no surprise, with Red Bull and Ferrari topping the list of updates this weekend, each with four changes this weekend.

Hoping to bounce back from a nightmare DNF for Verstappen at the Dutch GP last time out, Red Bull have brought two updates relating to reliability - to the rear corner and exhaust tailpipe - but will also bring a revised floor body to help with performance and aerodynamic stability. The Milton Keynes' team's front wing will also see an update to improve flow conditioning. Meanwhile, Ferrari bring four circuit specific changes to Monza, all in a bid to target aerodynamic drag saving.

McLaren and Mercedes have each brought two updates - the former with rear wing and floor furniture upgrades that target performance with regard to drag reduction and air flow. McLaren will hope that their newly dubbed 'H-wing' will deliver their third straight win of the 2026 season, following victories at the very different Hungaroring and Zandvoort circuits.

Towards the back of the grid, Williams and Haas each bring three updates to Monza - the latter in the shape of performance upgrades on the floor, bodywork and rear corner, while Williams bring circuit-specific changes to their halo, front wing, and floor body.

Aston Martin, fresh off the back of their best result of the season at Zandvoort - courtesy of Fernando Alonso's P9 finish at the Dutch GP - will hope to continue their mid-season turnaround. The Silverstone team bring two performance upgrades targeting local load on the front suspension and floor edge.

The only team not to bring updates to the Italian GP this weekend is Audi, as Alpine, Racing Bulls and Cadillac each arrive with two changes at Monza. Yet to score a point this season, Cadillac have brought change performance upgrades to the forward floor board stay and their diffuser.
