With a P3 finish at the flag McLaren driver Lando Norris clinched his maiden F1 title, interrupting Verstappen's fifth back-to-back championships quest.
The Dutch driver came within two points of completing the biggest upset in F1 history, taking the title battle down to the wire in Abu Dhabi, which despite his win, came short nonetheless.
Brown was asked about having to topple Red Bull Racing's F1 reign during an appearance in talkSPORT, "Which was not easy," the McLaren CEO said. "They're an unbelievable team, and Max Verstappen is the greatest driver of the modern era," putting the Red Bull driver above McLaren's own, Norris.
Verstappen was recently named the best driver of the F1 2025 season by F1 judges appointing him with a 8.6 score over Norris who only got an 8.2.
