F1 rookie cheekily admits jealousy over Hadjar’s Red Bull switch

The 20-year-old expressed how pleased he was with the move of the French driver, describing it as a great achievement for his generation of drivers.

"I'm very happy for him. He's shown he's very talented, and it's fantastic that our generation is conquering the top teams, like Kimi Antonelli with Mercedes,” Bearman said via Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Haas driver cheekily added that he is a little envious of Hadjar’s move:

“I have to say I'm also a little jealous that they can fight up there, but my time will come too,” he concluded.

Ahead of the final race of the 2025 season, Red Bull Racing confirmed that Hadjar would partner Max Verstappen at the Milton Keynes-based outfit for 2026, with current Formula 2 driver Arvid Lindblad set to replace him at the Racing Bulls team.

Earlier, Hadjar shared his thoughts after completing his first lap in the Red Bull RB21 car. The 21-year-old drove the car as part of F1 post-season testing at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The young French driver expressed how pleased he was with the outing and highlighted how welcoming the Red Bull team crew were throughout his run. Hadjar also concluded by noting how different the car felt compared to the VCarb 02 at Racing Bulls.
