Liberty Media agree to a May deadline for 2021 engine regulations

Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene has confirmed Liberty Media has set a May deadline for the final confirmation of the 2021 engine regulations.

Last weekend in Bahrain, Liberty Media uncovered the blueprints to the team principles.

But in today’s press conference, Arrivabene informed the media of the deadline made.

“They gave us a deadline for the end of May, I think," Arrivabene said.

"I hope that this deadline is going to be respected.

"It's a bit early somehow - if you are looking at the situation from - a technical point of view, concerning the engines.

"We, Mercedes, Renault and Honda sent a letter one month ago explaining in detail our position. Now it's quite clear.”

The Ferrari team boss also suggested that they are still discussing if the $150m budget cap is possible.

"We are reading the overall document, we are discussing," he added.
