Kim Kardashian congratulates 'her' Lewis Hamilton on his F1 victory in Barcelona

On Sunday evening, Kim Kardashian reacted on social media to Hamilton’s first Ferrari victory. The American reality star shared a photo of the Briton, showing she had been following the race. It features the seven-time Formula 1 champion crossing the finish line as his team cheered him on. With a trophy and heart emoji, she showed how proud she is of her alleged partner’s result.

The victory marked a special milestone for Hamilton. The seven-time world champion won a Grand Prix for the Italian team for the first time since his move to Ferrari and was visibly emotional on the podium afterwards. Within Ferrari, the win was also widely celebrated. Chairman John Elkann called it an emotional moment for the team and the tifosi.

Hamilton and Kardashian have been linked for quite some time; however, while they have never officially confirmed their relationship, the pair have increasingly expressed their mutual affection and are regularly spotted together in public. The first time was during the Super Bowl, after which various photos surfaced of other moments when the couple were together.

Kardashian was also present during the race weekend in Monaco. The American attended both qualifying and the race and was seen, among other places, in the Ferrari garage. She also cheered Hamilton on during the podium ceremony. During the F1 weekend, Hamilton was asked about her presence; he responded briefly but didn’t want to go too deep into it.

Hamilton responded somewhat cautiously, though he emphasised that he was very happy she was there to support him. "It's amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support," said the Ferrari driver. He then stressed how important it is for him to have people around him who support him. "But, with my friends, incredible turnout, just overall, the people. I don't really know what else to say. It's amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you. She does that for me every day."

After Hamilton’s win in Barcelona, Toto Wolff referred to the role a stable private life can play. The Mercedes team boss pointed in a conversation with, among others, GPblog to the good cooperation between Hamilton and Ferrari, but with a wink also made a reference to Kardashian. "Maybe his girlfriend helps."

According to Wolff, it is no coincidence that Hamilton currently seems to be in a good place both on and off the track. The Austrian cited the Briton’s private situation, along with the trust within Ferrari and the improved collaboration with his engineer, as possible factors behind Hamilton’s resurgence, which in Barcelona resulted in his first victory for the Scuderia.
