Lewis Hamilton suggests Ferrari should not throw in the towel on 2025 just yet, and switch focus completely onto next year's car, and points to Spain as a potential marker for making said decision.
Ferrari has struggled this season, something particularly surprising since last year the Scuderia was fighting for the Constructors' championship until the very last championship round.
Is it time for Ferrari to write-off 2025 now and focus solely on 2026, the year when the overhaul of regulations for both chassis as well as power unit are implemented?
"It's not up to me. I think we are working on next year's car. Whether or not we're 100% on next year's car, I can't comment on," said Hamilton to media including GPblog ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.
"Next year's the championship that's currently open. This one would be a lot harder to win, but it's not still closed. It'll be interesting to see how this weekend, what happens this weekend."

Hamilton blind-sided by Wolff's assessment of Ferrari

After the race in Monaco, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff stated he believed Ferrari would come out stronger following the revised TD018 Technical Directive said to restraint front wing deflection upon aerodynamic load.
These comments took Hamilton entirely by surprise, but nevertheless, he hopes his former team principal's assessment is right on the money.
"I don't know where it's coming from, I don't know what gives him that impression. I mean, I hope he's right. But I have zero clue who's going to affect and who it's not. It didn't make much difference at Mercedes. "
