After a difficult first two days at Spa-Francorchamps, Lewis Hamilton achieved a positive comeback result last weekend. The Briton is optimistic moving forward, he explained.
The seven-time world champion was not happy with his results over the Friday and Saturday in Belgium. He got eliminated already in both SQ1 and Q1, and did not score points over the Sprint.
However, after he started the delayed and rolling start from P17, he managed to complete many overtakes on the intermediate tyres, and made the right strategy call when switching to the medium tyres to finish eventually in seventh place.

Hamilton inspired by Sunday comeback at Spa

Ahead of the summer break, the 2025 F1 season continues with the Hungarian Grand Prix, where the British driver has won on the most occasions: eight times in total.
The world champion is also inspired by how he managed to bounce back during the Belgian Grand Prix.
Talking to GPblog among others, he said: "Yes, I think this one is definitely one to put behind me and I definitely feel confident going forward from here. As I said, having learned more about the car today, fine-tuned it, I'll set that up better for next week."
Hamilton also has mid-week plans ahead the Hungarian GP. "We'll be at the factory on Wednesday."
As a result, he concluded: "So yes, I don't see why we won't have better results moving forward from there."
The previous season, after also colliding with Max Verstappen into Turn 1, Hamilton finished on the podium behind the two dominant McLarens at the Hungaroring. However, he is yet to achieve a Grand Prix podium with Ferrari this season. The Ferrari driver won the Sprint in China, and finished third at the same event in Miami.
