Lewis Hamilton struggled at the British Grand Prix, nevertheless the 7-time world champion sees the positives his home race weekend left up for grabs for himself and Ferrari. Hamilton managed to have an all-round strong showing throughout a full race weekend for the first time as a Ferrari driver and
despite his Sunday difficulties, he draws the positives Silverstone left in the balance sheets for himself and Ferrari.
"I think what's positive this weekend is that in practice I was right there. I was much more happy with the car balance in the dry. And then in qualifying, we were much, much stronger," Hamilton said to Sky Sports.

Indeed, throughout all three practice sessions and in qualifying the Briton could often be found fighting at the sharp-end of the F1 order, and the data gathered from the weekend at Silverstone, can help Ferrari find their way in the tough development path the ground-effect rules have posed for the Italian team.
"I think there's lot of positives, and also, on a race like this, while it's not great, you can download a lot."
"I feel like I know how to explain to the team what I don't want built in next year's car."
However, the Briton does warn that a better performance in rain conditions with the SF-25 is simply out of the question at the moment.
"What we have right now makes it so difficult to drive, particularly in these conditions," Hamilton concluded.
