Formula1.com's jury has passed judgment again, this time after the British Grand Prix. Which drivers performed well and which fell short, and what scores were given? Find out here.
Every Grand Prix, a panel of five members assigns scores to all drivers, independent of the car's performance. Said scores are used to make a ranking that measures driver performance, and at the end of the season, a winner is chosen.
What scores did the F1 drivers receive after the British Grand Prix?
For the British Grand Prix,
Nico Hulkenberg received the highest score with a 9.8. The German clinched his first-ever podium at Silverstone and managed to come out unscathed in the challenging conditions.
Trailing Hulkenberg come the McLaren drivers.
Lando Norris received a 9.0 and
Oscar Piastri an 8.4. The jury considers Norris to have driven well to the front after a somewhat disappointing qualifying. Despite a ten-second time penalty for an incident behind the safety car, Piastri still managed to finish in P2.
Tied for fourth place are Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly. Hamilton looked set to bag his first podium of the season,
but his Ferrari proved a bit too difficult to drive in the rain. Gasly qualified strongly in his Alpine and also held his own in the race.
The overall ranking remains largely unchanged. Piastri still leads Verstappen, whilst George Russell and Isack Hadjar have dropped a spot. Nico Hulkenberg, on the other hand, climbed a position in the rankings after receiving the highest score this time.
