Pierre Gasly will not start the Miami Grand Prix from the starting grid. While the Frenchman finished eighteenth in qualifying, he will have to start from the pit lane due to adjustments to his car. Alpine has changed the setup of the suspension on Gasly's car. Because the cars have to comply with the Parc Ferme regulations after qualifying, no further adjustments can be made to the car. As a result, the Alpine driver will have to start from the pit lane.
Disappointment for Gasly
This is the second weekend in a row that Gasly has had to deal with disappointment. The Frenchman crashed with Yuki Tsunoda at the start of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, and this weekend, he had to deal with a disappointing qualifying.
However, it was a good qualifying session for others like Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. The Dutchman set the fastest time in Miami, earning him pole position. During the race, Verstappen will face competition from Norris, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, and Oscar Piastri. Those three drivers will start behind the Dutchman for the Miami Grand Prix.
