Cas van de Kleut

Cas van de Kleut has been an editor for GPblog since April 2023. He is currently in his fourth year of studying journalism at HBO in Utrecht. He has been actively following Formula 1 for years, and with his journalistic perspective on the sport, he is now well-acquainted with everything related to the pinnacle of motorsport. In 2023, he was present at the Zandvoort Grand Prix with GPblog, where he conducted interviews with fans. Additionally, Cas ensures that short videos are posted on GPblog's social media platforms.
Cas van de Kleut is an editor at GPblog. He is involved in writing news articles about Formula 1. In this role, he is responsible for finding and publishing the latest news surrounding the sport and for interpreting developments within teams, drivers, and the broader Formula 1 landscape.
In addition to his work as an editor, Cas actively focuses on conducting interviews and producing analyses and opinion pieces. He has spoken with drivers and prominent figures from motorsport, including former Formula 2 driver Richard Verschoor, Formula 1 driver Arvid Lindblad, and analyst Peter Windsor. Through these interviews, he not only delivers the latest news but also provides background and perspectives from within the sport itself.
Cas is also involved in various aspects of the daily news flow at GPblog. He covers breaking news, writes live blogs during race weekends, and processes reactions from drivers and teams following sessions and Grands Prix. As a result, he is continuously engaged in quickly and accurately interpreting events on and around the track, translating developments into clear and relevant content for readers.
As part of his journalistic work, Cas has attended several events. He represented GPblog at the Viaplay Kick-Off event in 2025, where the Formula 1 season was launched. During this event, he spoke with commentators Nelson Valkenburg and Melroy Heemskerk, as well as driver Tom Coronel. He also attended an event surrounding Richard Verschoor’s return to MP Motorsport in Formula 2, where he asked him exclusive questions.
In addition to his work for GPblog, Cas is active as a freelance journalist for Noordhollands Dagblad, where he previously gained experience as an intern conducting interviews and writing journalistic productions. He is also one of the regular faces in the videos of Noordhollands Dagblad. This broad journalistic background enables him to work both in a news-driven and in-depth manner.
Cas has also been involved multiple times in the Dutch GPblog podcast F1 VANDAAG, where the latest Formula 1 news is discussed. In one of the episodes, he took on the role of presenter, further highlighting his involvement in the editorial and content side of the platform.
Currently, Cas is pursuing a degree in Journalism in Utrecht, which he is expected to complete in the summer of 2026. This education forms the academic foundation for his work in sports journalism.
With his combination of daily news coverage, interview experience, and involvement in online reporting, Cas contributes to informing Formula 1 fans about the latest developments within the sport.
