According to The Race, the Brazilian driver is set to join Andretti in Formula E for the 2025-26 season, replacing and partnering former champion Jake Dennis.
After winning the Formula 2 title in 2022, he completed seven free practice sessions as Aston Martin’s reserve driver, but could not find a full-time F1 seat.
He was last in action at the Hungaroring in FP1 filling in due to Fernando Alonso’s back injury, though the Spaniard was ultimately fit to compete that weekend.
That was the case also ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. After Lance Stroll did not participate in Sunday's race because of a wrist injury, he was back in action in Montreal.
The former F2 champion already made his debut in Formula E, replacing Nyck de Vries for the Berlin ePrix. In the second race, he finished seventh, earning six points for Mahindra Racing.
It remains to be seen whether Drugovich will still be Aston Martin's reserve driver alongside his Formula E adventure. Stoffel Vandoorne, also having the same role, competed in the series the previous season.
This year, the Brazilian also drove in the 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of Le Mans events.

Alonso speaks highly of Drugovich

"It would be great to see him in Formula 1. He has an incredible talent. Formula 2 was a demonstration.
"We can see it here every day when we work with him. The simulator work, some of the free practices that he has, and he has been always delivering the performance that the team was asking, even with very limited kilometres."
Drugovich was on the radar of the 11th team on the F1 grid, Cadillac, but the Americans decided to go with experienced drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez. After that announcement, only a few seats remain open in the competition.
