The 2026 campaign will see the addition of the 11th team on the Formula 1 grid, Cadillac. The American team now confirmed their line-up for the upcoming campaign. It is now official: Cadillac will have a very experienced duo heading into the 2026 campaign.
Cadillac signs Bottas and Perez
As
GPblog could previously reveal, one of the drivers signed is
Valtteri Bottas. The Finn left Sauber at the end of the last season, and acted as Mercedes' third driver in 2025.
There were other candidates for the second seat, such as Aston Martin development driver Felipe Drugovich, and current F2 drivers Alex Dunne and Jak Crawford.
The team decided to go with
Sergio Perez. The Mexican was let go by Red Bull Racing following the 2024 season, when he finished in eighth place in the drivers' standings.
