It was a difficult outing for the Scuderia Ferrari team last time out at the Dutch Grand Prix. However, ahead of the upcoming race in Monza, team principal Frederic Vasseur has highlighted his team's sole aim for the race weekend. Formula 1 heads to the ‘temple of speed’ for round 16 of the 2025 season, and despite the circuit being the Italian team's home race, Ferrari has found success in front of the Tifosi far and few. However, ahead of the upcoming race, Vasseur is confident his side can turn the corner.
Speaking ahead of the race weekend, the French motorsports chief has detailed the team’s main goal while highlighting what would be needed for the Maranello-based outfit to be flawless at its final home race of the campaign.
“As every year, we are eagerly looking forward to hitting the track at Monza, especially so just a few days after Zandvoort, which didn’t deliver the results we’d hoped for, even if we demonstrated that we had the race pace to do well. For the entire team, being surrounded by the passion of our tifosi is an incredible motivation to put our hearts into everything we do.”
“We are aiming to give our very best to repay them for their constant support. However, to do that, we need to put emotions aside and focus on ensuring that we execute the weekend to the best of our ability, from the very first lap of free practice right through to the final lap of the race.”
“Over the course of this season, we’ve made progress in terms of competitiveness, but with such a closely matched field, we must be flawless to get the results we’re aiming for. We’ll give it everything we have, knowing we can count on all the love and support of our tifosi.”

Vasseur: Dutch GP woes will be beneficial for Monza
Frederic Vasseur earlier expressed his belief that
Ferrari’s struggles at the Dutch Grand Prix would prove beneficial for the team heading into their home race in Monza. The 57-year-old highlighted how his side took many positives from their running at Zandvoort.
During the Dutch GP, both
Lewis Hamilton and
Charles Leclerc appeared to be pushing for relatively impressive results after their mixed outing last time out in Hungary. However, both drivers suffered separate crashes, which spelt the end of their adventure around the Dutch dunes.
The DNFs suffered by the pair marked the first time this season that both Ferrari cars failed to finish a Grand Prix.
