Verstappen gets back to winning way in Monza

Max Verstappen was told over the team radio to let Lando Norris through after the start of the Italian Grand Prix, but once he overtook the Briton, he never looked back.
The Dutchman completed the Italian double this season, claiming his first Grand Prix victory since the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
After the session, Red Bull's technical director, Pierre Waché explained he was skeptical of a set-up change suggested by Verstappen, which proved to be instrumental in his win.
"I was not very keen on it, at first, that is true,” he laughed talking to GPblog.
This victory also marked Laurent Mekies’ first win as Red Bull team principal, with the Frenchman praising his team after the result.

Wolff sees McLaren 'setting a precedent'

McLaren opted to extend their first stint on the medium tyres in Italy, waiting for the race to be neutralized.
In the end, they decided to pit Oscar Piastri first from P3 to avoid being undercut by Charles Leclerc.
Lando Norris pitted a lap later, however, the McLaren crew made a mistake during his stop, dropping him from second place to third. Piastri was then asked over the team radio to hand the position back.
Talking about McLaren's decision, Mercedes CEO and team principal Toto Wolff sees the Woking-based team setting a precedent.
"There is no right and there is no wrong, and I'm curious to see how that pans out. You set a precedent that is very difficult to undo," the Austrian told GPblog.
Following the 16th round of the season, Piastri now leads the standings by 31 points.
