After the session, Red Bull's technical director, Pierre Waché admitted he was skeptical of a set-up change suggested by Verstappen, which proved to be instrumental in his win.
"I was not very keen on it, at first, that is true,” he laughed while speaking to GPblog, before going back to celebrate with his team.

McLaren 'set a precedent,' Wolff explains

McLaren opted to extend their first stint on the medium tyres in Monza, waiting for the race to be neutralized.
In the end, they decided to pit Oscar Piastri first from P3 to avoid being undercut by Charles Leclerc.
Lando Norris stopped a lap later, however, the McLaren crew made a mistake, dropping him from second place to third. Piastri was then asked over the team radio to hand the position back to his teammate.
Piastri now leads the drivers’ standings by 31 points over the Briton.
Talking about McLaren's decision, Mercedes CEO and team principal Toto Wolff saw the Woking-based team setting a precedent.

"There is no right and there is no wrong, and I'm curious to see how that pans out. You set a precedent that is very difficult to undo," the Austrian told GPblog.

Bearman one penalty away from a suspension

Oliver Bearman received a ten-second time penalty for causing a collision with Carlos Sainz at the Italian Grand Prix.
The rookie was also handed two penalty points by the stewards, bringing his total to 10, which means he is just two short of a race ban.
The Briton must now be cautious, as until 3 November, no points will come off his record.
