Fernando Alonso, after qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, addressed the subject of the broadcasting of his onboard radios. The Aston Martin driver feels that these are really not always negative from his side, but that is how it comes across due to Formula One Management (FOM)'s intentions, Alonso explained.
"It was bad traffic, it was a frustration building but as usual, some comments are good, some comments are bad but FOM has this fix with me with bad comments but, I'm happy with that, this is their job," said the Aston Martin driver, who then went on to elaborate further regarding what he feels is the dynamic between F1's main operating entity of the Formula One Group, and himself.

The 43-year-old Spaniard claims that the FOM has it in for him. "Yesterday I had as well some positive things, but FOM they have to sell that I'm the grumpy guy, but-- they try for many years and they will not succeed," Alonso told media present, including GPBlog, after qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
At the start of the third free practice session, Alonso said over the board radio that it was going to be a great day. The Spaniard was asked if he will mention this again to his race engineer during the race. The Aston Martin veteran driver feells it could work. "It worked today, so I'll try again tomorrow," he told.
