1997 F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve chose to steer clear of passing any judgement on Ferrari in order to avoid triggering a wave of “hate mail.” "I don't want to comment on Ferrari really. I'll just get hate mail again."
- Jacques VilleneuveThe Canadian, like many others, has been critical of the Maranello-based outfit in the recent past after a season that fell well short of pre-season expectations, ending with just fourth place in the constructors’ standings and no victories to their name.
However, speaking to a betting site this time around, Jacques Villeneuve chose to keep his thoughts on Ferrari firmly to himself, opting not to put himself back in the media firing line.
"I don't want to comment on Ferrari really. I'll just get hate mail again. It’s easy to criticise Ferrari because they're in the limelight. So, you always see everything they do or don't do. That's not the case with other teams."
Hamilton let off the hook for dismal 2025 as true culprit singled out

Mazzola also sought to shield race engineer Riccardo Adami from excessive criticism. While their radio exchanges with Hamilton frequently made headlines, he maintained that such communication issues cannot be pinned solely on the engineer, given the limited scope of influence he has within the team’s broader operational structure.
