Verstappen and Alonso receive stunning gifts
Max Verstappen received a special gift that took the internet by storm for this Christmas. The Dutchman's girlfriend, Kelly Piquet posted a photo of
Max Verstappen holding up a T-shirt on social media.
The shirt featured an image inspired by Verstappen’s dominant victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix earlier this season — a win that briefly reignited his title hopes after the post-race disqualification of both McLaren cars, even if the championship ultimately slipped away. The design shows Verstappen celebrating with the trophy in hand, sporting the Las Vegas podium glasses and raising his middle finger.
Meanwhile,
Fernando Alonso was gifted a walking stick from Nico Hulkenberg in
F1's Secret Santa video.
The gift was an obvious reference to Alonso’s longevity. Still active at an age no other driver has reached in modern
Formula 1, the Spaniard is set to turn 45 next year.
Age, however, showed little sign of slowing him down in 2025. Alonso enjoyed another commanding campaign, decisively getting the better of his team-mate — most notably in qualifying, where he recorded a flawless 24–0 record — and ending the season comfortably ahead in the overall standings.

Sainz ended the season on a clear upward curve, shaking off the struggles that marked the opening half of the year and closing out the campaign just behind his team-mate. A pair of podium finishes underlined his progress.
Former FIA steward and F1 driver Johnny Herbert believes those performances are proof that, with a truly competitive car at his disposal, Sainz has everything required to take the fight for a title. While his style may differ from that of Max Verstappen, he is seen as no less capable of delivering when the conditions are right.
