Carlos Sainz is one of the many drivers out of contract for next season and says he would be happy to remain at Renault. The Spaniard is currently on a 'loan' style deal at Renault. He's under contract by Red Bull.
Sainz is unlikely to move to Red Bull unless Daniel Ricciardo makes a move elsewhere. The 23-year-old seems to be happy with his current French team.
"It would be a pleasure to stay at Renault. I'm happy where I am. I think this team has a lot of potential - whatever happens I'm very proud of how we are doing things here at Renault. For me it would be a pleasure to stay," Sainz told EL Pais Newspaper.
According to Alain Prost, a key man at Renault, the work between Sainz and his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg helps develop both drivers.
"The important thing is that they go in the same direction and push the team to be the best," Prost added.
