Not the best day for Red Bull: 'Marko didn't look happy this afternoon'

It was not the best day for Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri. Max Verstappen did not set the fastest time and Sergio Perez was far behind his teammate. Yuki Tsunoda didn't do too well either.
Due to the red flag caused by Sebastian Vettel, there was very little time for the drivers during VT1. "It is only one hour, you want to collect as much data as possible and drive as many laps as possible. If you then stand still for thirty minutes, that's of course not much improvement", Giedo van der Garde said during the Dutch Ziggo Sport broadcast of Formula 1 café.
Robert Doornbos agrees: "Max was also irritated at one point. Twice he had real bad luck in a flying lap on the red tyre and was really fast. And then bam, red flag, straight back in the pits. It wasn't smooth."

Bottas is fast, Perez is raking it in

"Valtteri Bottas was going very fast. I think that's the smallest difference between the number one and number two driver. If you look at Red Bull, how slow Perez was again", said Van der Garde.

Whether the men spoke to Helmut Marko today? "We saw Marko briefly this afternoon, but he was not happy. Max wasn't quite at the top of the grid, of course, and Perez didn't go fast at all. Tsunoda didn't go fast at all either, in the second free practice he didn't move forward either. In the end it wasn't really a good day for the guys", said Van der Garde.
