Alexander Albon and his partner, Lily Muni He, have announced the passing of their beloved cat Moomoo at the age of 15, sharing a heartfelt message on social media to mourn the loss of their long-time companion and reflect on the special place he held within their family.
The Williams driver's love for animals is no secret, with Albon having previously revealed that he has 16 cats, two horses, one dog and one deer. His passion for his pets is such that he even has a dedicated section on his personal website where he shares more about them.
Albon revealed that Moomoo passed away peacefully at hospital on 17 September 2026 at 11:58am, surrounded by members of the family, with others joining via FaceTime. The cat had been part of the family for 15 years, making the loss particularly difficult for everyone close to him.
The Williams driver also spoke about the profound impact Moomoo had on the family, describing him as a much-loved member of their household. Albon admitted that the home already felt noticeably different following his passing, while expressing just how deeply loved and missed his beloved pet would be.

“Our so very much loved Moomoo left us yesterday, 17th September 2026, at 11:58am, to join some of his brothers and sisters in heaven. He passed away peacefully at the hospital with Mummy, Papa and Bitbit holding him while the others were also with him on FaceTime.
“Darling Moomoo, you are such a big part of our family and so much loved by everyone who knows you. We really can’t imagine our lives without you. We are so lost & the house seems so quiet without you. We hope you know that we love you so so very much and miss you so so much already.
Albon went on to reflect on the 15 years of happiness Moomoo had brought to the family, thanking him for being such an important part of their lives. He also shared his hope that Moomoo was now reunited with the other pets they lost over the years, while reassuring him that Gucci (one of his cats) would be cared for in his absence. The family also held on to the promise they had made together that Moomoo would return to them as a son or brother in another life.
“You have brought us so much love and happiness for the past 15 years. Thank you Moomoo for having us as your family. We hope you are now with Looky, Chicken, Tino, Rossi, Miguel, Porsche & Daisy and get lots & lots of milk, ham and all of your favourite food in heaven. Please don’t worry about Gucci - we will look after him for you and please remember the promise we all made together yesterday that you would come back again as our son/brother in the next life.
“See you soon darling Moo-ga-pus. Remember you will always be in our hearts and that we love you very very much always.”
