Brian Uriarte claimed pole position for Sunday's Moto3 race in Austria. David Almansa finished second, while Alvaro Carpe completed the top three this Saturday.
After the first set of laps in Q2, Almansa led the way by around four-tenths of a second over Maximo Quiles. However, during the second half of the session, Uriarte managed to beat the Intact GP rider and claimed pole position for KTM during the team's home weekend. This was the Spaniard's second pole position of the year.
Quiles dropped to fourth place and will be joined by Matteo Bertelle and Scott Ogden on the second row of the grid.
Returning after his scary crash at the Hungarian Grand Prix, David Muñoz made it through to Q2 today. He will start from P8 on Sunday.
