Frederik Vesti won the main race in Monaco, as the Danish Formula 2 driver finished ahead of Theo Pourchaire and Zane Maloney.
Through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo, the drivers were keen to grab every point, with both Pourchaire and Vesti in an exciting title battle with Red Bull junior Ayumu Iwasa. With Vesti's win, the driver now leads the championship, followed by Pourchaire and Iwasa. The gap to his French rival spans just four points.

Red flag

Jack Doohan had an unfortunate Sunday. The Alpine junior crashed during the race, causing a safety car, which then turned into a red flag. Victor Martins also had issues, as he drove too fast past the crashed Australian and collected a drive-through penalty. Richard Verschoor, who started from P6, had to defend hard in the closing laps against Dennis Hauger, who frequently popped up in the Dutchman's mirrors, who eventually finished in P4.
