Up next on the MotoGP calendar is the British Grand Prix. The 12th round of the season will be held at Silverstone. The second half of the 2026 MotoGP season begins on the second weekend of August at the Silverstone Circuit. The weekend will also begin with a special press conference in London, which will be open to the public.
The riders in attendance will be
Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), Ai Ogura (Trackhouse),
Pedro Acosta (KTM), Diogo Moreira (LCR), and home favourite Cal Crutchlow (LCR), as the competition has already confirmed.
The MotoGP title battle is as exciting as ever. Currently, only 24 points separate the top five riders. Jorge Martin leads the standings, 14 points ahead of Ogura and 18 clear of
Marc Marquez. Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio are also in contention. The Italian Aprilia rider returns after his crash at the Sachsenring on Saturday, which required him to undergo surgery.

What happened in 2025?
Last year, Silverstone hosted the seventh round of the season. It was the last weekend before Marc Marquez's winning streak began. The Spaniard finished second in the Sprint and third in the Grand Prix. Marc's brother,
Alex Marquez, won the Sprint for Gresini Racing.
Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo claimed pole position, but he finished seventh in the Sprint, and an issue meant he could not finish the race despite leading. Victory on Sunday went to Bezzecchi, while Johann Zarco finished second ahead of Marquez. The Ducati rider also crashed before the race was red-flagged, but because the stoppage came within the first three laps, he was allowed to return to the grid for the restart.
