Helmut Marko not only has an eye on the performance of Red Bull Racing, but also the achievements of AlphaTauri are closely watched by the talent scout. Marko is happy with the performances of his pupils Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.
"I have to name them. Both of them top-ten. Our Japanese driver is blossoming more and more," Marko said to the ServusTV camera. A handsome performance from the men of AlphaTauri, as big names such as Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, George Russell and Daniel Ricciardo, among others, were beaten in Q2.

AlphaTauri aims for a double points finish

The Faenza-based racing team are not yet very happy about the races in 2022. Marko hopes AlphaTauri will be able to turn the tide."Both Tsunoda and Gasly were strong in the last races. Ideally, they both score points. That would be important because Alpine is not in the top-ten. That way we can move up in the constructors' classification."
Currently, AlphaTauri occupies seventh place in the world championship. A fifth-place seems to be the objective for this season, although team boss Franz Tost did not express that out loud yet. It will then be necessary to take on Alfa Romeo (25 points) and Alpine (22 points), the current numbers five and six in the World Championship standings. AlphaTauri has collected 16 points so far.
