Early in the morning, the 24-hour race in the German Eifel was shaken by a severe crash. The #300 Dacia, with Martin Kaffka at the wheel, collided with the #74 Aston Martin, driven at the time by Aris Balanian. The crash resulted in a huge wreck, through which other drivers had to carefully navigate.

Later in the morning, disaster struck the race leader. Kevin Estre, driving the leading Porsche, tapped the Aston Martin GT4 with Rolf Scheibner behind the wheel off the track, causing the car to flip over. Scheibner had to be medically examined but is reportedly alright.
