Although we are racing again worldwide, the corona outbreak is far from under control. Where in America they have already allowed spectators at the Nascar and Indycar they are even more careful in Europe. Now it also appears that less people are welcome at the Indy 500 on August 23rd.
Initially half of everything would be seats on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the big racing spectacle with Rinus van Kamlthout as participant. Now the big boss of Indycar Roger Penske comes back on that decision. There will be a lot less spectators present at the legendary race, where the winner has to drink a lot of milk.
In America the pandemic is anything but under control, although it varies greatly from state to state. Partly because of this, the regulations differ per area. Nevertheless, the Indycar will soon only make a quarter of the number of seats available because the fear is still there. Safety is paramount. For most people that will soon be behind the TV. Lucky visitors who do have a ticket will also have to wear a mouth shield.
