Family joy for Verstappen and Kelly Piquet during the Brazil GP

During the Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend, former F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr. shared the news of the birth of Lily Verstappen's new cousin, Vida.

On Instagram, the proud parents posted: "Welcome to the world, Vida!

This was not the first time Verstappen became an uncle, as he already has three nephews through his sister, Victoria.

Starting from the pit lane at Interlagos, the defending world champion narrowly missed out on second place, with Kimi Antonelli holding him off in the closing laps.

The Dutchman originally qualified in P16, but started from the pit lane after his car was also equipped with a new power unit.

Although Verstappen completed an outstanding race, Lando Norris won from pole position and extended his lead in the drivers’ standings. The Dutchman is now behind by 49 points with three rounds left to go in the 2025 season.
