Hello and welcome to yet another wonderful and exciting day of F1 news. Here you'll catch the top stories of the day: It's F1 LIVE!
Sunday morning at the Nürburgring delivered chaos. The #300 Dacia and #74 Aston Martin collided hard, Martin Kaffka and Aris Balanian behind the wheel, creating a wreck that forced the field to tiptoe through debris. That alone would've been enough drama, but it didn’t stop there.
Race leader Kevin Estre, in the leading Porsche, clipped a backmarker, the Aston Martin GT4 driven by Rolf Scheibner, sending the car flipping off the track. Scheibner was taken for precautionary medical checks but is reportedly okay. Just another brutal reminder of how quickly things can go wrong in endurance racing.
Max Verstappen spent his mid-season break in Saint-Tropez, recharging with partner Kelly Piquet, their daughter Lily, and Kelly’s daughter Penelope. Photos from their getaway show Max paddleboarding off his superyacht while Kelly snaps pics and their dog Nino tags along. The Dutchman skipped a family event in Monaco — a gender reveal for Kelly’s brother, Nelson Piquet Jr. — to stay locked in on his F1 duties at Spa.
Next stop: Austria. The
Red Bull Ring is Verstappen territory, and with McLaren ahead in the title fight, he’ll be aiming to bounce back hard. The time to relax is over. Now it’s about clawing back into the championship fight on home ground.
