Valtteri Bottas has given the strongest hint yet about a potential move to Cadillac for the 2025 Formula 1 season.
As it is known, the Finn is among the names being considered by the American team for a seat as they become Formula 1's newest team, joining the grid in 2026.
No announcements have been made yet, but Bottas, currently the third driver at Mercedes, seems to hint in a video at a possible seat with the American outfit.

Bottas on Cadillac: 'That's a nice seat'

In the video, Bottas is seen walking down the street and is pointed towards a parked Cadillac. As he opens the door, he examines the driver's seat and says: "That's a nice seat. I wouldn't mind..."
When it is mentioned that there are two seats, the Finn continues: "And they're both free?" Asked if he would like to sit in, he answers: "Not yet."
Officially, nothing is known about Cadillac's lineup for next year. However, it is clear that the new F1 team is looking for an experienced driver and a young, preferably American driver. Bottas is one of the names being linked to a seat, but Sergio Perez is also mentioned. However, we still need an official announcement.
Recently, Bottas has been complimentary about Max Verstappen. The 35-year-old Finn noted how Verstappen's teammates are having a tough time in the RB21 and openly wondered if Red Bull Racing would be better off with an experienced driver alongside the four-time world champion. The Finn did not rule himself out, but also noted that there is ‘someone’ at Red Bull who would prefer not to have him in the team.
