Ferrari has been in excellent form since the Italian Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz grabbed pole position twice in a row and in Singapore even turned it into a victory. For next weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, Ferrari wants to continue that good form with a major upgrade.

Ferrari upgrade for Japanese GP

The Japan Grand Prix, together with the Singapore Grand Prix, forms a so-called 'double header' and thus takes place as early as this weekend from 22 to 24 September. For the race weekend at Suzuka Circuit, Ferrari will introduce the last major upgrade of the season, according to Italian medium Formu1a.uno.
This would be a brand new floor for the SF-23, which would have been tested in the wind tunnel during the off-week between the Italian and Singapore Grands Prix. Since the new regulations, which started in 2022, the floor is hugely important for the car's performance, so it could make a big difference. As this was the last major upgrade of this season, Ferrari is now shifting its focus to the car for 2024.
